Protein Smoothie Bowl

Thick enough to eat with a spoon, which is the point: a drinkable smoothie disappears before you notice, while a bowl you eat slowly and can stop when fullness arrives. Frozen banana and a little Greek yogurt do the thickening.
One meal won't hit a daily target on its own — here's how much protein you actually need on a GLP-1.

Ingredients
- 2 frozen bananas (sliced)
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons almond butter
- 2 tablespoons granola
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon sliced almonds
Method
- 1Blend the frozen bananas, frozen berries, Greek yogurt, protein powder and milk until completely smooth. Add the milk a splash at a time and keep it thick enough to hold a spoon upright.
- 2Spoon into two cold bowls and smooth the surface flat with the back of the spoon.
- 3Swirl the almond butter across the top.
- 4Scatter over the granola, chia seeds, fresh blueberries and sliced almonds in stripes rather than mixing them in.
- 5Serve immediately, while it is still cold and thick.
Tips for GLP-1 appetites
- Freeze the bananas in slices. Whole frozen bananas will not blend and you end up adding liquid to compensate.
- A bowl you spoon is easier to stop halfway through than a glass you drink.
- Chill the bowls while you blend and it stays thick for a lot longer.
