Privacy policy

Basilino exists to help you eat well on GLP-1 medication — not to monetise your data. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your information, we show no ads, and you can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, from Settings.

Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed password when you register.

Health and lifestyle information you choose to log. Basilino is built around information you enter yourself: your medication schedule (such as your shot day), protein, fiber, and water intake, weight entries, side-effect check-ins, and your goals. We treat this as sensitive information: it is used only to show your own tracking and suggestions back to you, and is never used for advertising or shared for marketing.

Content you create. Recipes you clip from the web, collections, saved recipes, and shopping lists.

Billing information. If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe (on the web) or Google Play (on Android). We never see or store your card details — we keep only your subscription status and plan.

Technical basics. Standard server logs (IP address, request time) kept briefly for security and debugging. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

• To run the app: your recipes, tracking, suggestions, and reminders.
• To shape suggestions around your shot cycle — this happens for your account only.
• To manage your subscription and respond when you contact support.
• To keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell your personal information, share it with advertisers, or use your health entries for any purpose other than showing the app to you.

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, only as needed to run Basilino: our hosting provider (where the app and database run), Stripe for web payments, and Google Play for Android purchases. Each processes only what its role requires.

• Access and portability — you can see everything you have logged inside the app, and you may request a copy by email.
• Correction — entries can be edited or removed in the app.
• Deletion — delete your account from Settings at any time. This permanently removes your account and all logged data from our systems. You can also email us to request deletion.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have additional statutory rights. Write to us and we will honour them.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists, and remove it when you delete your account. Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed, and access to production systems is restricted.

Basilino is intended for adults using GLP-1 medication under medical care and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
