Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Basilino ("we", "us") covering your use of the Basilino web and Android applications. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Basilino is a food, recipe, and lifestyle companion — not a medical device, and not a source of medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Recipe suggestions, nutrition figures, gentle-window estimates, and tracking insights are general wellness information. They are no substitute for the advice of your prescriber, dietitian, or care team, and you should never change how you take a medication because of anything shown in the app. If you feel unwell, contact a medical professional. Basilino is not affiliated with or endorsed by the manufacturer of any GLP-1 medication.

You must be at least 18 to use Basilino. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data as described in our privacy policy.

• The core of Basilino is free. A premium subscription unlocks additional features such as the unlimited cookbook.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe (web) or Google Play (Android), and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time — from Settings on the web or via Google Play on Android. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep premium access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• We will always show you the price before you pay, and tell you before any trial converts to a paid plan. Statutory refund rights in your country are unaffected.

Recipes you clip, collections you build, and entries you log remain yours. You give us only the licence we need to store and display them back to you. The web clipper is for your personal, non-commercial use — respect the rights of the sites you clip from.

Don't break, probe, or overload the service, attempt to access other users' data, scrape the recipe library, or use Basilino for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

The Basilino name, design, recipe library, and software are protected by intellectual property law. We licence them to you for personal use of the app; you may not resell or redistribute them.

Basilino is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that nutrition data is error-free or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms or the service; if a change is material we will notify you in the app in advance, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. If we ever discontinue Basilino, we will give you reasonable notice to export your data, and refund any prepaid period we cannot deliver.
