Crispy Baked Chicken Thighs

"Crispy Baked Chicken Thighs" lands at 15.5g of protein for 227 calories a serving, which makes it an easy way to hit a protein target on Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound without overeating. It leans pungent, so save it for a day your stomach is settled rather than right after an injection.

Ingredients
- 8 chicken thighs (with bone and skin on)
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon adobo seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sazon (or 1 packet store bought like Goya or Loisa)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (or 1 teaspoon fresh)
Method
- 1In a large bowl, rub the chicken thighs all over with the Italian dressing, salt, adobo seasoning, garlic powder, sazón and oregano; for the best flavor cover and marinate overnight, or bake right away if you're short on time.
- 2Heat the oven to 425°F. Lay the thighs skin-side down on a rack set over a sheet pan (or on oiled nonstick foil) and bake 20–25 minutes.
- 3Flip skin-side up and bake another 20–24 minutes, until golden, crisp and cooked through.
Tips for GLP-1 appetites
- Not the gentlest option on a rough stomach day — better suited to when appetite and digestion feel normal.
- Go lighter on the strong aromatics (garlic, onion, spice rub) if smells are a trigger right now.
- At 15.5g of protein a serving, this alone gets you a meaningful chunk of the way to a daily 80–120g protein target.
